The Mazda CX-5 (KF Generation) is a compact crossover SUV powered by Mazda's low-compression Skyactiv-D diesel engine, offering high low-end torque and long-distance fuel efficiency. It showcases Mazda’s "Kodo: Soul of Motion" design philosophy with a bold front mesh grille, slim auto-leveling LED headlights, fluid side profile lines, and 17-inch or 19-inch dark-finish alloy wheels.Under the bonnet, it features a 2.2-liter (2,191cc) Skyactiv-D sequential twin-turbocharged 4-cylinder diesel engine (SH-VPTS) producing 175 PS (173 hp) to 184 PS (181 hp) and 420 Nm to 445 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. The engine incorporates Mazda's Natural Sound Smoother tech and high-precision piezo injectors to minimize diesel clatter and sharpen throttle response. Power is delivered through a 6-speed Skyactiv-Drive automatic transmission to either Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) or i-Activ All-Wheel Drive (AWD). With G-Vectoring Control (GVC) enhancing cornering stability, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.8 to 9.2 seconds while achieving a combined fuel economy of 5.0L to 5.8L/100km (~17.2–20.0 km/L).
