2020 Mazda CX8

The 2020 Mazda CX-8 (KG series) is a mid-size, three-row crossover SUV positioned between the 5-seater CX-5 and the larger, wide-body CX-9. Riding on a modified, extended-wheelbase version of the CX-5 architecture (sharing the exact 2,930mm wheelbase of the CX-9), the CX-8 was created to offer genuine 6-seater or 7-seater family versatility with a narrower, more urban-friendly body profile.Under the bonnet, the CX-8 Diesel features Mazda's 2.2-liter Skyactiv-D sequential twin-turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. Benefiting from late-2019/2020 mechanical updates, the engine incorporates ultra-high-response multi-hole piezo injectors and a variable geometry turbocharger, generating 190 PS (187 hp / 140 kW) and a substantial 450 Nm of torque. Power is routed through a Skyactiv-Drive 6-speed automatic transmission to either Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) or Mazda’s i-Activ All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system featuring Off-Road Traction Assist. Cornering composure and chassis stability are managed by standard G-Vectoring Control Plus (GVC+).Inside, the 2020 model gained an updated 8.0-inch or 10.25-inch Mazda Connect infotainment display with smartphone integration, USB charging ports for the third row, and available second-row Captain’s Chairs with a center console (6-seat layout) or a traditional 60/40 split bench (7-seat layout). Upper trims (such as Exclusive Mode or Asaki) feature Deep Red or Parchment Nappa leather upholstery, genuine wood interior trim, a 10-speaker Bose surround sound system, and a hands-free power tailgate.
