The Land Rover Defender 110 (L663 generation) is a 5-door mid-size luxury 4x4 off-roader that reimagines Land Rover's traditional utility vehicle into a daily-usable, highly refined overland platform. Built on Land Rover’s D7x lightweight aluminium monocoque architecture, the chassis delivers a torsional rigidity of 29 kNm/deg—three times stiffer than traditional body-on-frame designs—making it the stiffest body structure Land Rover has ever produced. Underneath, the Defender 110 pairs permanent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) with a twin-speed transfer box (high/low range), a center slip differential, and optional active rear locking differentials. Electronic Air Suspension comes standard on most mid-to-high trims, enabling an adjustable ground clearance of up to 291mm and a maximum wading depth of 900mm supported by integrated Wade Sensing sensors. Off-road electronics are managed by Configurable Terrain Response 2, which allows drivers to fine-tune throttle response, differential locking, and traction control parameters based on surface conditions. Inside, the cabin blends heavy-duty utility with modern executive luxury. Key design highlights include an exposed powder-coated magnesium cross-car beam, durable rubberized flooring with flush sills for easy cleaning, an 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen display, a 12.3-inch interactive driver display, and optional ClearSight Ground View (which projects a "transparent bonnet" image of the terrain directly beneath the engine bay). Seating configurations are available in 5-seat, 6-seat (with a front-row jump seat), or 5+2 (third-row) layouts, yielding a cargo boot capacity of 786 liters behind the second row, expanding to 1,875 liters with the seats folded flat.
