The Land Rover Defender 130 First Edition (introduced for the 2023 model year, unveiled in May 2022) is the extended 8-passenger variant of the L663 Defender lineup. Stretching 340 mm (13.4 inches) longer over the rear overhang than the Defender 110 while keeping the same wheelbase, the Defender 130 provides three full rows of adult-sized seating (2+3+3 configuration) alongside a extended glasshouse and standard panoramic sunroof. The First Edition is a launch-exclusive specification that pairs curated exterior colorways—such as Sedona Red, Fuji White, or Carpathian Grey—with unique matrix LED headlights, hard-shell spare wheel covers, and distinctive 20-inch alloy wheels. Under the bonnet, the Defender 130 First Edition is powered by either the P400 3.0-liter Ingenium inline-6 turbo petrol ($395\text{ hp} / 550\text{ Nm}$) or the D300 3.0-liter inline-6 twin-turbo diesel ($296\text{ hp} / 650\text{ Nm}$), both equipped with 48V Mild-Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) technology. Power is routed through an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and Land Rover's Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (iAWD) system, supported by standard Electronic Air Suspension and Terrain Response 2.
