Vehicle Description
The 2019 Toyota Corolla Fielder Hybrid (NKE165G chassis) is a Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) compact station wagon designed for exceptional fuel efficiency, high interior practical utility, and low running costs. Positioned as one of East Africa's most popular secondary-market utility wagons, the late 160-series Fielder features a modern front bumper design, auto-folding side mirrors, a low cargo loading floor, and standard Toyota Safety Sense C driver-assist systems. Powering the Fielder Hybrid is Toyota's proven 1.5-liter 1NZ-FXE Atkinson-cycle 4-cylinder petrol engine working alongside a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor. Powered by a nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery pack mounted under the rear seats, the powertrain generates a combined 100 PS (99 hp / 74 kW) sent to the front wheels via an electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (e-CVT). Trim levels range from the functional Hybrid X and mid-tier Hybrid G to the range-topping Hybrid G WΓB (White x Black)βwhich adds dark-chrome accents, dark 15-inch alloy wheels, projector LED headlights, sport seats with synthetic leather side bolsters, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
