The 2019 Subaru Forester represents the fifth-generation redesign, built on Subaru’s Global Platform that enhances handling, ride comfort, noise and vibration control, and crash safety. Its styling follows the “Dynamic × Solid” design philosophy, with a more athletic stance, sharper body sculpting, and a bold grille with active shutters. Interior space is expanded with a longer wheelbase, increased rear legroom, improved head, shoulder, and hip room, wider rear doors, and a squared-off cargo area with a wider tailgate opening. Standard technologies include symmetrical all-wheel drive, EyeSight driver-assist features, X-Mode with dual-mode terrain settings, active torque vectoring, and a driver monitoring system on select trims.
