2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350d

The 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350d 4MATIC (V167 fourth-generation) represents the total redesign of the brand's mid-size luxury SUV. Moving away from the older V6 architecture, the 2019 model introduced Mercedes's 2.9-liter OM656 turbocharged inline-6 diesel engine, delivering 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW) and 600 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission and fully variable 4MATIC all-wheel drive capable of routing up to 100% of torque to either axle. Built on the MHA (Modular High Architecture) platform, the 2019 GLE expanded its wheelbase by 80mm over the outgoing generation, dramatically increasing rear legroom and making room for an optional 3rd-row 7-seat configuration for the first time. Inside, the dashboard is anchored by dual 12.3-inch widescreen displays powered by the MBUX infotainment system with natural voice control ("Hey Mercedes") and optional Augmented Reality navigation. Suspension choices range from standard steel coils to AIRMATIC air suspension, as well as the world-first 48V E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL hydraulic suspension system that can individually control spring and damper forces at each wheel.
