The 2019 Toyota Harrier Turbo (ASU60W 2WD / ASU65W 4WD chassis) represents the performance flagship variant of the third-generation (XU60) late-facelift Harrier. Distinct from its naturally aspirated (3ZR-FAE) and hybrid (2AR-FXE) siblings, the Turbo model features dedicated performance styling cues, including a honeycomb lower front grille, smoked triple-projector LED headlights with sequential indicators, dual exhaust tailpipes, and model-specific 18-inch dedicated alloy wheels. Trim levels for the Turbo variant include Elegance Turbo, Premium Turbo, Progress Turbo, and the aggressive GR Sport (G's) Turbo.Under the bonnet, the Harrier Turbo is powered by Toyota's 2.0-liter 8AR-FTS direct-injected twin-scroll turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 231 PS (228 hp / 170 kW) and 350 Nm of torque across a wide 1,650–4,400 rpm powerband. Unlike the CVT-equipped base models, the Turbo is paired exclusively with a performance-tuned 6-speed Super ECT automatic transmission with manual sequential shift control and steering-wheel paddle shifters, available in 2WD (FF) or Dynamic Torque Control 4WD.Inside, the Turbo variant receives dedicated cabin enhancements, including red contrast stitching on the leather dashboard, door panels, and seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, black/red ambient lighting, metal sport pedals, and carbon-pattern center console trim alongside the standard touch-panel climate controls and optional panoramic sunroof.
