2019 Toyota Hiace

The 2019 Toyota HiAce (H300 Generation) marks a major redesign for the global van, moving away from the traditional "cab-over" layout to a semi-bonneted front end. Moving the engine out from under the front seats improved front-impact safety, reduced cabin noise, and improved engine access. It is offered in Long Wheelbase (LWB) and Super Long Wheelbase (SLWB) configurations across Panel Van, Crew Van, and 10 to 17-seater Commuter Bus body styles. Under the hood, the 2019 HiAce features two primary engine choices: a 2.8-liter 1GD-FTV turbocharged 4-cylinder diesel engine (producing 177 PS / 174 hp and 450 Nm of torque) or a 3.5-liter 7GR-FKS V6 petrol engine (producing 281 PS / 277 hp and 351 Nm of torque). Power is delivered to the rear wheels (RWD) via a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The diesel model achieves a combined fuel economy of 7.7L to 8.2L/100km (~12.2–13.0 km/L). Inside, the cabin features a modern, driver-centric dashboard with an integrated touchscreen infotainment system, a 4.2-inch multi-information cluster display, air conditioning, and dual side sliding doors. Safety is a major highlight of the H300 series, earning a 5-star ANCAP rating thanks to the Toyota Safety Sense active suite. Standard active safety equipment includes Pre-Collision System (Forward AEB) with Pedestrian & Cyclist Detection, Lane Departure Alert (LDA) with Steering Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and up to 9 SRS airbags.
