The 2019 Honda Insight is a stylish, fuel-efficient compact hybrid sedan that redefined Honda's dedicated hybrid lineup by blending clean, classic sedan proportions with impressive fuel economy and modern safety features. Positioned between the Civic and the Accord, the third-generation Insight moved away from the hatchback design of its predecessors in favor of a sleek coupe-like profile featuring Honda's signature "flying wing" grille, standard full-LED headlights and taillights, and sculpted character lines. Under the hood, the Insight features Honda's advanced two-motor intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) hybrid system. In most city driving situations, the vehicle operates primarily on electric power, with the gas engine acting as a generator to keep the battery charged—resulting in an EPA fuel economy rating of up to 55 MPG in the city and a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of around 7.7 seconds.
