The 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser GR Sport (LC300 Series) serves as the off-road motorsport-inspired flagship of Toyota's 300 Series lineup. Developed with input from Dakar Rally engineers, the GR Sport balances high-speed trail performance with luxury long-distance touring capabilities. Visually distinguished from standard ZX or VX trims, it features a unique matte-black mesh front grille with bold "TOYOTA" block lettering, redesigned high-clearance off-road front/rear bumpers, blacked-out wheel arch cladding, GR Sport exterior badges, unpainted skid plates, and exclusive 18-inch matte-grey alloy wheels wrapped in thick all-terrain tires.Under the bonnet, the LC300 GR Sport is available with two twin-turbocharged V6 powertrain options: the flagship 3.3-liter (F33A-FTV) twin-turbo V6 diesel engine producing 309 PS (305 hp / 227 kW) and 700 Nm of torque, or the 3.5-liter (V35A-FTS) twin-turbo V6 petrol engine producing 415 PS (409 hp / 305 kW) and 650 Nm of torque. Power is routed through a direct-shift 10-speed automatic transmission to a full-time 4WD system. The key mechanical highlight of the GR Sport is its Electronic Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (E-KDSS), which electronically disengages the front and rear anti-roll bars independently for maximum wheel articulation over severe obstacles, alongside three differential locks (front, center, and rear). Inside, the cabin features a performance-oriented black and dark red leather upholstery trim with GR logos embroidered on the headrests and steering wheel, a 12.3-inch floating infotainment screen, a 14-speaker JBL audio system, four-zone climate control with Nanoe-X air purification, heated and ventilated front/second-row seats, fingerprint authentication start-button, and multi-terrain camera monitors.
