Vehicle Description
The 2012 VXR trim combines luxury, extreme multi-terrain durability, and heavy towing power. Visually, the 2012 facelift introduced projector HID headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights, a redesigned chrome front grille, side mirror turn signals, updated 18-inch or optional 20-inch alloy wheels, and LED tail lamps. Depending on the region, the 2012 VXR came powered by either the 4.6-liter 1UR-FE V8 petrol engine (which replaced the older 4.7L V8) or the 4.5-liter 1VD-FTV twin-turbocharged V8 diesel engine. Both are mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with full-time 4WD. As the flagship trim, the VXR features high-end cabin refinements—including leather seating, a cool box in the center console, a 9-inch screen with EMV navigation, a rear-seat DVD entertainment package, and Multi-Terrain Select (MTS) with CRAWL Control.
