2019 Nissan Note e-POWER NISMO

The 2019 Nissan Note e-POWER NISMO (HE12 Second Generation) is a performance-tuned, series-hybrid hot hatch produced by Nissan's motorsport division. Visually distinguished by its aggressive NISMO body kit—comprising red-accented front/rear bumpers and side skirts, a custom roof spoiler, a metallic black mesh front grille, shark-fin antenna, and 16-inch or 17-inch NISMO-specific alloy wheels—it combines aggressive styling with high-efficiency electrified driving. The model line features both the standard e-POWER NISMO and the upgraded e-POWER NISMO S, which gains enhanced VCM (Vehicle Control Module) tuning for higher electric motor power and torque outputs. Under the bonnet, the Note e-POWER uses a series-hybrid drivetrain where the wheels are driven 100% purely by an electric motor (EM57). A 1.2-liter HR12DE 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine acts solely as an onboard generator to charge the compact 1.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and feed power to the electric motor. The standard NISMO generates 109 PS (107 hp / 80 kW) and 254 Nm of instant torque, while the NISMO S pushes output to 136 PS (134 hp / 100 kW) and 320 Nm. Dynamics are augmented by NISMO-tuned stiffened suspension springs/dampers, custom structural body reinforcement cross-bars, and recalibrated Speed-Sensitive Electric Power Steering. Inside, the cabin features a dark sport aesthetic highlighted by suede-trimmed NISMO bucket seats (or optional Recaro sports seats), a leather and Alcantara-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel with a red center alignment mark, custom red air vent surrounds, a digital instrument cluster with drive mode indicators, and an electronic gear selector knob.
