2019 Toyota RAV4

The 2019 Toyota RAV4 (MXAA52 / MXAA54 / AXAH52 / AXAH54 series) marks the global rollout of the fifth-generation crossover built on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA-K) platform. Designed with a wider track, lower center of gravity, and high-rigidity unibody chassis, the JDM-spec RAV4 debuted in Japan in April 2019, restoring the iconic nameplate to the domestic market after a brief hiatus. In the Japanese market, the non-hybrid 2019 RAV4 is powered exclusively by a 2.0-liter M20A-FKS Dynamic Force inline-4 petrol engine, delivering 171 PS (169 hp / 126 kW) and 207 Nm of torque. Power is routed through a Direct Shift-CVT with a mechanical physical launch gear to either Front-Wheel Drive (2WD) or Dynamic Torque Control 4WD. High-grade trims (G "Z Package" and Adventure) introduce Toyota's Dynamic Torque Vectoring AWD system, which features twin electro-magnetic rear clutches to distribute torque independently to each rear wheel and a rear driveline disconnect for enhanced fuel economy. Alongside petrol models, Japan offered the 2.5-liter A25A-FXS Hybrid (E-Four) producing a combined 222 PS (219 hp) with an electronic rear motor. Core domestic trim levels include X, G, G "Z Package", Adventure, and Hybrid X / G. Inside, the cabin features clean horizontal dashboard architecture, a floating T-Connect infotainment display (7.0-inch or 9.0-inch), an electronic parking brake with Auto-Hold, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a versatile dual-level boot floor.
