2019 Mitsubishi RVR

The 2019 Mitsubishi RVR (known as the ASX or Outlander Sport in various global markets) is a compact 5-seat crossover SUV designed around simplicity, urban maneuverability, and practical durability. Featuring Mitsubishi’s "Dynamic Shield" front grille design, high-set halogen or LED headlights, body-colored door handles, and up to 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, the RVR presents an athletic exterior profile with a high seating position for clear outward visibility. Under the bonnet, North American variants offer naturally aspirated MIVEC 4-cylinder petrol engines: a 2.0-liter 4B11 engine producing 148 hp and 197 Nm of torque, or a larger 2.4-liter 4B12 engine producing 168 hp and 226 Nm of torque. Japanese import versions frequently feature a 1.8-liter 4J10 MIVEC engine producing 139–140 hp. Power is managed by an INVECS-III Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), with power routed either to the front wheels or through Mitsubishi's multi-select All-Wheel Control (AWC) 4WD system. The AWC system allows drivers to manually toggle between 2WD for maximum fuel efficiency, 4WD AUTO for variable traction on slippery roads, and 4WD LOCK for enhanced low-speed grip in snow, mud, or unpaved terrain.
