2019 Toyota Vellfire

The 2019 Toyota Vellfire (AGH30W chassis for FWD / AGH35W for AWD) is the core naturally aspirated model within the JDM line. Built on Toyota’s MC platform, it features a bold double-deck front fascia, chrome accents, sequential LED indicators, and dual power-sliding rear doors. Under the hood is the 2.5-liter 2AR-FE naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 182 PS (180 hp / 134 kW) and 235 Nm of torque. It routes power through a 7-speed Super CVT-i transmission with manual shift mode to either Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) or Full-Time AWD. While lacking the raw power of the 3.5L V6 and the low fuel consumption of the Hybrid, the 2.5L petrol engine is the most common variant imported to East Africa due to lower purchase prices, standard mechanical simplicity, and low long-term maintenance overhead. The interior offers 7-seater or 8-seater configurations with second-row Captain's seats or a bench, tri-zone automatic climate control with Nanoe air purification, 16-color ambient lighting, and an 8-inch to 10.5-inch T-Connect infotainment display.
