Under the bonnet, the 2019 Vezel Hybrid utilizes Honda's SPORT HYBRID i-DCD (Intelligent Dual-Clutch Drive) powertrain. It pairs a 1.5-liter LEB-H1 Atkinson-cycle 4-cylinder petrol engine ($132\text{ PS} / 156\text{ Nm}$) with an electric motor ($29.5\text{ PS} / 160\text{ Nm}$) integrated into a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
