The 2020 Volvo XC60 B6 Mild Hybrid (SPA platform) introduced Volvo’s 48-volt mild-hybrid powertrain architecture to its popular mid-size luxury crossover SUV. Showcasing understated Scandinavian design, the XC60 B6 features signature "Thor's Hammer" LED headlights, a concave front grille with the diagonal Volvo iron mark, sculpted side panels, and vertical LED taillights. Trim levels include Momentum, Inscription (chrome accents and luxury detailing), and R-Design (gloss-black grille, sport bumper, and aggressive wheels).Under the bonnet, the B6 badge denotes a high-output 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine equipped with both a turbocharger and an electric supercharger, paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The combustion engine produces 300 hp (304 PS) and 420 Nm of torque, while an integrated starter-generator (ISG) provides an extra 14 hp burst during initial acceleration and smoothing engine start-stop cycles. Power is delivered through an 8-speed Geartronic automatic transmission to a permanent Instant Traction All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system.Inside, the cabin features minimalist luxury with a 12.3-inch digital driver instrument cluster, a 9-inch portrait-oriented Sensus touchscreen display, Orrefors crystal gear selector (on Inscription trims), linear lime or driftwood inlays, power-adjustable Nappa leather seats, and CleanZone dual/four-zone climate control.
